About MICS

What makes Manorom International Christian School unique among other international schools?

At MICS, we offer Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E.) curriculum which is an individualized and mastery-based learning where the student is placed at the level where they can perform and progress through their own pace. Student will be assessed and evaluated whether they master the concept before they move on to the next chapter of the subject.

Not only academic reinforcement that MICS provides through A.C.E. curriculum and other subjects and activities, student gets to learn 90 character traits throughout the curriculum that is based on the Word of God (Bible). We believe that this experience at MICS will help prepare them to be a future leader that can make a difference in their lives and their community.

As an international school, we promote diversity of culture at our school. Our teaching staffs are from different countries and culture where English is their official language. All possess recognized teaching degrees and some also hold Masters Degrees. Some possess Bachelor degree with teaching certificate and/or having teaching experiences.

We are an ACE school accredited by Accreditation International (Ai), Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA-CESS), National Council for Private School Accreditation (NCPSA) and licensed by the Thai Ministry of Education. We have been granted quality status from School of Tomorrow Far East Asia every year.
For kindergarten, there is a maximum of 12 children per class with two teaching staffs in Kindergarten. ESL-ABCs program class size is a maximum of 15 and from Grade 1 class size is a maximum of 22 with 2 teaching staffs.
Boarding facilities are offered by Christian Learning Foundation which is the same area of the school. Dormitory fee is 15,000 THB per term (Academic Year 2018-19).

Curriculum

What curriculum does Manorom International Christian School follow?

We are aligned with the Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E.) Curriculum framework, standards and practices from United States of America. Currently we offer High School Diploma and ICCE for Year 10, 11 and 12.
Currently we offer Thai in accordance with the law for international schools in Thailand and options of French, Spanish, Greek I at high school level.
Manorom International Christian School offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities each term, including sports, arts and music and we have a number of squads who compete with other schools in Far East Asia at the Regional Student Convention in various types of competition including Academic, Athletic, Music and Arts.
Yes. Students who are Thai first language speakers have the further option of writing their quota exams at Manorom International Christian School as well as their GAT exams, allowing them entrance to universities throughout Thailand. Both first and non-native Thai First Language speakers will have access to International Programs at Thai Universities, as well as the option to study abroad.
We believe in assigning homework not as “busy work”, but rather as a means of reinforcing concepts, building connections and practicing skills. Students are trained to set the reasonable goal and to complete their goals every day. Most of the student who can complete their daily goal will likely not have homework. If the supervisor sees student’s weakness in specific subject, a supervisor will provide enough work to challenge students and help them master the concept, while still allowing time for extra-curricular activities. Additional details are available in the parent handbooks.
